Police appeal for info on missing man

Detectives are looking for a missing 28-year-old man — last seen in SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND in FEBRUARY 2015.

They’re treating SAM PRICE PURCELL’s disappearance as suspicious — this morning calling for anyone with info to come forward.

 

Identity of remains confirmed

Human remains found in a submerged car at Borumba Dam have been confirmed as belonging to missing man STUART GATEHOUSE.

The vehicle was recovered by police back in APRIL, while the 45-year old was last seen during a trip from KENILWORTH to GYMPIE in 2004.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

 

Forum to discuss aged care concerns

The Federal Aged Care Minister is on the Sunshine Coast today.

KEN WYATT is set to address as many as 150 seniors at Twin Waters- and hear their concerns.

The aged care forum will include discussions on natural and preventative medicines, retirement villages, including access and exploitation and service provider issues.

 

Equipment donated through fundraising

The community funded Caloundra Hospital Auxiliary is continuing to make a big difference..

The organisation is today set to hand over $155 THOUSAND worth medical equipment to the Caloundra health service.

 

Falcons coach back for another season

The Sunshine Coast FALCONS can now focus on their run to the finals- with coach Craig Ingebrigtsen putting pen to paper for another year.

‘TRIGGER’ originally signed a 2 year deal at the end of 2015….and has now just agreed to a 12 month contract extension- to take him up until the end of the 2018 season.

This weekend the FALCONS are against the Mackay Cutters in round 22.
