The Cranberries Lead Singer Dolores O’Riordan Has Died, Aged 46

Dolores O’Riordan, the lead singer of rock band The Cranberries, has passed away suddenly during a trip to London.

“Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today,” publicist Lindsey Holmes said in a statement.

“Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

The band also took to their Facebook page to break the news, with no cause of death made known.

The Cranberries formed in 1989 and had worldwide success with their timeless, grunge rock songs such as Zombie and Linger. One of the most successful bands of the 1990s, The Cranberries sold over 40 million records.

Our thoughts are with O’Riordan’s friends and family at this time.
