The House the Coast Built
In 2019 we’re building more than bricks & mortar – together with Ausmar Homes we’re building a legacy that will help thousands of people from remote and rural locations across Queensland as well as Coast locals.
With your help, families and carers will have access to local affordable family accommodation while their loved ones undergo treatment, surgery or emergency stays at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH).
Together we can build a home away from home for patients and their families on the Sunshine Coast.
You can be part of The House The Coast Built legacy by purchasing a house-hold item for the home. Items can be purchased in your name or in honour of a friend for Christmas.
Head to The House The Coast Built.org to help.
With funds raised from 92.7 Mix FM’s Give Me 5 For Kids, Wishlist Spring Carnival and other initiatives, Wishlist purchased land at 11 Affinity Place, Birtinya – walking distance to the hospital – and will begin construction on the house in February 2019.
Ausmar homes, with help from generous local trades and services will build a sizeable 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom home to cater for several families at one time.
Wishlist’s previous ‘The House The Coast Built’ projects have sparked some truly amazing community support and we’re hoping the community will rally together and be a part of a Sunshine Coast legacy
We are looking for building supplies, trades people, landscaping and furniture to turn this into a welcoming home for those who need it. Anyone wanting to come on board to get in touch.
The House the Coast Built will be a haven for families to return to after long and often very stressful days in hospital. It’s a place for them to rest and recharge between hospital visits.
