Letter from the grave

It’s been revealed that just four days before his death, this week, local father of four Cameron Frewer penned a letter and gave it to a friend, in case something ever happened to him.

The 44-year old cyclist safety advocate, who operated the Facebook page “Drive Safe, Pass Wide” died on Monday after being hit by a utility along Caloundra Road.

The open letter written just days earlier was addressed to the Police Minister, Transport Minister, Police Commissioner and various bicycle advocacy groups.

It included links to footage taken of cars passing him too closely, and in breach of the law, Mr FREWER speaking of is frustration when his complaints fell on deaf ears.
