Road markings for safety

The stretch of Sunshine Motorway from Coolum to Noosa will undergo wide centre line treatment work, to help reduce the risks of head on crashes.

The State Government’s spending $1 million on the markings, which will also be painted on Emu Mountain Road.

The new treatments will prohibit overtaking.

Statistics show there have been 23 crashes at the two road intersections over the past 5 years.

Works are expected to start later this month.
