Vaccination home visits

ANTI-VAXXERS aren’t happy about a new plan by the State Government to crack-down on non-vaccinated children, calling it a form of intimidation and bullying.

Under the plan, parts of the Sunshine Coast will be targeted by Queensland Health staff, who will contact parents whose children aren’t up-to-date with their vaccinations, and offer an in-home visit.

The Sunshine Coast Hinterland has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country, with only 87.2% of one-year-olds being fully vaccinated, while the Queensland average is 94%.
