Sunny Coast, You’ve Done it Again!
In our 26th year, 92.7 MIXFM and the Sunshine Coast community have raised an incredible $314,588 for 2025’s Give Me 5 campaign!
What began as a month-long festival of fundraising has once again brought our community together to support local patients, sick kids and families in need of our health services.
From donations and auctions to unforgettable events, the Sunshine Coast has shown just how powerful we are when we unite for a cause. The impact of your generosity will be felt by thousands of families across our region. Funds from this year’s campaign will help our beneficiary, Wishlist, deliver vital healthcare equipment and the continuation of services, including:
- Paediatric Cardiology Ultrasound Machine – allowing 1,200 Sunshine Coast children each year to receive critical cardiac care close to home.
- Non-Invasive CO₂ Monitors – reducing painful blood tests and transfusions for critically ill and premature newborns.
- Ongoing Support Programs such as:
- Dads Group at Wishlist Centre, connecting and supporting new fathers.
- Sunshine Coast Clown Doctors – healing through laughter.
- Calm Fairies – easing treatment anxiety for kids.
- Wishlist Therapy Dogs – bringing comfort during hospital stays.
- Hospital accommodation – keeping families close during a health crisis.

MIXFM’s Give Me 5 Southern Cross Sheds Diamond Lunch is the Sunshine Coast’s signature fundraising event, bringing together 300 guests for an afternoon of glamour and generosity. Held at Venue 114, the luncheon features a sparkling arrival with a hidden Louise Jean “diamond” in one lucky glass (win a 1‑carat diamond!), a luxe two‑course lunch, four‑hour beverage package, raffles, silent auctions, live entertainment and plenty of insta‑worthy photo moments, all to support our local kids and their families.

Wanting to help but unsure how? Our arms are always open to individuals and businesses who want to get involved by supporting an event, donating a raffle or auction item or who have ideas about how we can make more impact.
What are we fundraising for in 2025?
Over the past 26 years, we have funded over $7.7 million of life-changing equipment, programs and services to support the growing health needs of the Sunshine Coast community. Last year alone, we raised over $550,000 in funds. This year, we have our sights set high on funding the following:
Paediatric Cardiology Ultrasound Machine
This life-saving machine will allow local children, including sick and premature babies, to access specialist heart care here on the Coast, reducing the need for travel to Brisbane.
Sentec Transcutaneous Monitors (Neonatal)
These non-invasive monitors reduce the need for painful blood tests in critically ill newborns, helping improve outcomes and comfort in neonatal care.
Dad’s Group
A unique program reducing isolation and supporting mental health in new dads, aiming to help families thrive during the early stages of parenthood. Give Me 5 provided the initial $180,000 to fund the pilot program in September 2024 and due to it’s success and far-reaching impact, we hope to fund the continuation of this program.
Any additional funds raised will support the continued presence of the Clown Doctors and Calm Fairy, who bring laughter, comfort, and calm to children in hospital.
