These Terms & Conditions apply to all competitions conducted by GSL Media across broadcast, digital, social media, and in-person channels unless otherwise stated in a promotion-specific Schedule. By entering any GSL Media promotion, entrants agree to these terms.The Promotion Schedule prevails in the event of inconsistency.
1. Promoter Details
The Promoter is GSL Media Pty Ltd and its associated radio stations, digital platforms, and event properties.
Promoter contact details and participating station information may be listed within the Promotion Schedule.
2. Eligibility
To enter any promotion:
- Entrants must be Australian residents.
- Entrants must meet any age restrictions specified in the Schedule.
- Employees, contractors, interns, and immediate family members of GSL Media, associated sponsors, agencies, suppliers, and any commercial radio network in Australia are not eligible.
- Entrants must enter using their true and legal identity. False details result in automatic disqualification.
GSL Media may request proof of identity, residency, and eligibility at any time.
2.1 Prize-Win Frequency Rule
Entrants are ineligible if they have won:
- Prizes totalling $500 or more in any GSL Media promotion in the 30 days prior to the start of the promotion; or
- Any prize valued at $5,000 or more in the 6 months prior.
Household and address restrictions may apply and will be outlined in the Schedule.
3. Entry Mechanisms
Entry methods may include:
- Calling during a cue-to-call
- Completing an online entry form
- Social media entry
- SMS entry
- On-site participation at a broadcast or event
Entries must comply with the mechanism described in the Promotion Schedule. Costs associated with participation (e.g., phone, SMS, data) are the entrant’s responsibility.
GSL Media accepts no responsibility for:
- Late, lost, or misdirected entries
- Technical failures
- Network congestion
- Phone dropouts or signal issues
If a call drops out, GSL Media may proceed to another caller. The original entrant forfeits any claim.
4. Content & Entry Conduct
Entrants agree that:
- Entries must be their own work and not breach any third-party rights.
- Offensive, defamatory, illegal, threatening, or unsafe behaviour may result in disqualification.
- Entries must be suitable for public broadcast and online publishing.
Automated, third party, or bulk entries are prohibited.
5. Judging & Prizes
Competitions will be either:
- Game of Chance (random draw), or
- Game of Skill (judged on creativity/originality)
Details appear in the Schedule.
5.1 Prize Conditions
Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash (unless stated).
GSL Media may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
Event/travel prizes may have blackout dates and age restrictions.
Alcohol related events require attendees to be 18+ and comply with RSA laws.
5.2 Major Prize Availability
Major prizes may take up to 10 business days (or longer if specified) to become available.
6. Prize Collection
Winners may be required to collect prizes from a nominated location. Failure to provide valid ID or proof of entry may result in forfeiture.
Unclaimed prizes after 3 months are forfeited.
7. Health, Safety & Conduct
GSL Media may require:
- Medical clearance
- A signed release/indemnity form
Entrants may be excluded if they:
- Pose a risk to themselves, staff, or the public
- Engage in illegal, unsafe, unsociable, or offensive conduct
8. Broadcast, Publicity & Recording
By entering, entrants consent to:
- Their name, image, likeness, voice, and entry being broadcast
- Phone calls being recorded and replayed on-air and online
- Content being used for promotional, marketing, and editorial purposes without compensation
Entrants assign all rights in submitted content to GSL Media.
Requests for anonymity must be made at time of entry.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the GSL Media Privacy Policy. Entrants who unsubscribe or request removal of their data before prize fulfilment forfeit the prize.
10. Social Media Terms
Competitions run via Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, or other third party platforms are:
In no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by those platforms. Entrants provide information to GSL Media, not any third party platform.
11. Liability & Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GSL Media is not liable for:
- Injury or loss incurred during participation
- Changes to events, prizes, or travel arrangements
- Technical disruptions
Australian Consumer Law rights remain unaffected.
12. Disqualification & Termination
Entrants may be disqualified for:
- Providing false information
- Breaching these terms or law
- Attempting to manipulate or disrupt the competition
- Misconduct, abuse, or unsafe behaviour
GSL Media may cancel, amend, or suspend a promotion at any time. The Promoter’s decisions are final.
13. Minors
Where minors are permitted to enter:
- A parent/guardian must approve entry
- A guardian may be required to accompany winners
Guardians may need to sign release forms
14. Force Majeure
GSL Media may modify, suspend, or cancel promotions in the event of circumstances beyond its control.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Australian law.
16. Acceptance
Entry confirms full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any applicable Promotion Schedule.
