Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month with Mark & AB

Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month is observed every May in Queensland to raise awareness about domestic and family violence (DFV) and to encourage community action against it.

This 2025, Mark & AB are shining a light on this year’s theme of Take positive action today to build a safer Queensland. This initiative intends to highlight the role that everyone can take in creating safer communities. We can all do this by recognising signs of abuse, supporting those affected and promoting respectful relationships.

During May, MIX FM’s Mark & AB will have conversations with survivors to shed a light on the realities of DFV, alongside professionals to determine the signs of abuse, legal frameworks and the support systems that can be accessed.

Through these conversations, they hope to educate our Sunny Coast community about the prevalence and impact of DFV. They’ll tell us the available resources for victims and motivate our community to take proactive steps in preventing DFV.
