LifeFlight Sunshine Coast is a Queensland-based not-for-profit aeromedical organisation providing rapid-response emergency medical services to critically ill and injured people across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding regions. Operating as part of LifeFlight Australia, the service plays a vital role in saving lives when minutes matter most — delivering hospital-level care at the scene and during transport.

Established to support regional and remote communities, LifeFlight Sunshine Coast combines highly skilled doctors, critical care paramedics, pilots and rescue crews with advanced helicopters and aircraft to ensure fast, expert medical intervention.

Mission:

To save lives and improve health outcomes by delivering world-class aeromedical and rescue services whenever and wherever they are needed.

Core Programs & Services:

• Emergency Aeromedical Retrieval: Rapid helicopter response to serious accidents, medical emergencies and trauma incidents across the Sunshine Coast and hinterland.

• Inter-Hospital Transfers: Transport of critically ill patients requiring specialist care between regional hospitals and major medical facilities.

• Rescue Operations: Search and rescue missions in challenging environments including bushland, waterways and remote locations.

• Community Education & Training: First aid, emergency response education and injury prevention programs to help keep communities safe.
